Different Kinds Of Bathroom Taps

The bathroom is an essential room in the house as it is where you take a shower and perform different hygienic processes. In order for you to take a shower and do other essential things in the shower, you need a tap that will enable you to get water. If you are a homeowner and want to install a faucet, you can easily get different types of bathroom taps to choose.

Center set tap is a standard drill that has two handles mounted on a plate. These taps are very economical on space as the handles are placed close to each other. Although this faucet is suitable because of its design, it is normally extremely hard to clean since the handles are very close to each other.

You can also consider installing a single handle faucet. Usually you will find the controls for the tap placed at the top or the side of the spout. Depending on where the tap is placed, the spout can be long or not very long. If, for example, you have a vessel sink, you need a longer spout for use. When installing this tap on a sink, it is very easy to install since it requires a single hole sink.

The other very common tap that you are likely to find in most bathrooms is the widespread tap. It is made of two handles and a spout. One handle controls hot water while the other one controls cold water supply. As their name suggests, they are widespread; therefore, they are much easier to clean as compared to the center set tap.

With improvement in technology, there has been the development of electronic taps. These taps usually have electronic controls that are able to detect if there is a hand under the spout. A person simply places their hand beneath the spout and it immediately senses and ejects water. One is likely to find this tap in commercial bathrooms where people may not want to touch the tap due to hygienic reasons.

A wall-mounted faucet is the other bathroom tap that you are likely to find in many bathrooms. The taps are usually mounted on the wall and have a longer spout to enable a person reach it easily. In addition to being installed on walls, you can also find then above the counter.

Bathroom taps are available in different sizes, shapes and designs to serve a variety of different uses. It is, therefore, up to the user to determine the kind of tap that will work best for them. As you consider the type of tap that you may want to install in the bathroom, you also need to consider where it will be put. If you have a vessel sink, it is good to know that you need a sink with a longer spout and if you want to mount the tap on the wall you also need to have tap with a long spout.
